ERP has partnered with UBUNTU Business School in Johannesburg to deliver a unique Agricultural-Entrepreneurship Development Programme providing practical training, business coaching and support services to assist food garden entrepreneurs in starting and growing sustainable food garden operations.

The UBUNTU team is comprised of experienced and passionate MBA graduates, accredited trainers and entrepreneurs with extensive experience in the areas of training, mentoring, business coaching and entrepreneurial development.

The programme is focused on assisting beneficiaries in achieving food security while creating income opportunities through fresh produce sales. It provides practical support to assist entrepreneurs in setting up their agri-business while managing productivity and quality in their gardens in order to achieve sustainability and growth.

The Agri-EDP is delivered over an initial 3 months period with an additional 3 months provided for ongoing support to newly established food gardens.

Training is focused upon experiential-learning that creates an opportunity for students to engage and apply academic understandings through practical experience while simultaneously learning new information about their business environment. The programme adopts a holistic approach to training and development to ensure learners receive the highest quality learning experience so they may improve their skills, gain recognized qualifications and achieve their goals.

The programme also addresses the economic, administrative and behavioural barriers that contribute to failures in starting and sustaining a new business in South Africa.
